Home made cleaning products that work better then store bought
How much money do you think you spend on cleaning products?
I know I use to spend hundreds of dollars a year on cleaning junk, and what a waste of money time and storage it was. Bottle upon Bottle of poisonous nasty smelling liquids and powders all piled up in the cupboard.
To make matters worse I was always worrying about my daughter getting into the stuff, so when I realized that I didn’t need a different cleanser for every surface and type of mess I was relieved.
For almost every surface in your home all you really need is vinegar, baking soda and good old dish soap. These perfectly natural cleaners work great.
Baking Soda works wonders as a scouring powder and also as a deodorizer… use it in your fridge to keep odors at bay, sprinkle on carpets before vacuuming and use it to scrub away stubborn messes in your kitchen and bathroom.
White vinegar is the other multi-purpose household cleaners.
You can’t beat white vinegar as a floor cleaner it gets your floors really clean and unlike store bought cleaners it doesn’t cause grout to turn black and gross over time. I usually mix about 1 cup or less of vinegar with a bucket of water for floors.
Mix 2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of white vinegar, and up to 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap in a spray bottle and you have an all purpose cleaning spray that works great on windows, counters etc.
For really dirty jobs like bathrooms put about ½ cup dish soap in bottle fill the rest of the bottle with vinegar and you have a powerful cleanser that works better then any store bought mix I have tried.
